Designing a cutting-edge platform for a world leader

Viridor is a leader in the waste sector, playing a key role in the circular economy as a large-scale energy recovery specialist and recycler of materials. As such the company is at the forefront of developing new technologies; however, the previous website did not pitch the company at a level that made it feel like an industry leader, did not communicate their service well, or have an architecture that supported best green practices.

 
 

true designed and developed a new site which modernised the brand and positioned them as industry leaders, delivering in-depth B2B and governmental level content, bringing it to life in a rich and exploratory way through interaction design and rich storytelling content. The website was designed and developed end-to-end in just three months, helping Viridor to move from their old website platform to Umbraco in an incredibly efficient manner (and avoiding renewal of an annual license fee from their previous provider in the process).

 
 

The website is in its first year of life, and results are currently being collated, however, stakeholder feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Although the site is currently incredibly performant, true are continually monitoring and optimising the site to ensure that Viridor’s commitment to ESG can be maintained over the long term.

 
 
Re-development of the Viridor website has been vital tool in showcasing our journey as a transformed business and our commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). The new look and feel within the extremely professional design by true, has given us the opportunity to demonstrate we are leaders in our sector. Umbraco’s flexibility and ease of use, has given us the ability to communicate with our stakeholders much easier and efficiently.
